This is our first album advert design. It was made by Jamal. Before we started to design any of our new ideas we had to come up with a brand identity. We decided to use the colour scheme of blacks, whites and greys as these correspond with our genre; grime. This is because grime is focused on the streets which are portrayed as being very black and grey areas with a 'grimey' atmosphere and a very urban feel. Also, as we are situated in London, we have decided to incorporate a lot of British iconic images such as Big Ben, the millennium wheel and other places that are well known. We also decided to incorporate red as another of our colour scheme as there are a lot of red buses in London and we are also thinking about taking a photo of the guards at Buckingham Palace as they were a red and black costume which fits with our brand image. We decided to have such a bright colour as we though that having a lot of black and greys is too conventional and we can break the moulds by using a fourth, bright colour.
Also to break the conventions, we came up with a name for the main artist which is very formal, 'Jay', as this goes against the typical names of grime artistsd such as Tempz, Skepta and Tinie Tempah.
