Here is a visual representation of the costume of each performer by Shehabur. We decided to use casual clothing so we could go against the conventions of a grime video as they all normally wear baggy t-shirts and tracksuit bottoms but we don't think this will be effective with our concept. Our costume goes a long with our brand identity as we have included the black trousers as well as reds so that the video, digi-pack and advert all flow together and work as our brand identity.
As my character is a featuring artist we have decided to keep the outfit more indie as we feel that this will suit the lyrics of the song which I am singing as well as reflect the actual artist himself.
The main props we will need for our media product is a car which Jamal has as he has passed his driving test, like all of our group, but he is the only one with a car. We also need a black cab but I am currently trying to sort this out. For the main part of our film we will use a BlackBerry as the communication tool so that we can show literal representations of the lyrics such as tweeting without involving too much technology and some other props we will have will include jewelry and small things like that.
As we are producing a low budget music video we will not be able to produce the extravagant story-line as we are imagining it but we will still try to replicate our ideas as best as possible.
